A little about Dana...
I began working with Carroll Tyler in the spring of 2000. As her working partner, we both “wear each other’s hats”. Eventually you will find us finishing each other’s sentences! We focus on making sure we are assisting our buyers and sellers wherever it is needed. As a team, you get the best of both of us and all of our combined talents to make your transaction as effortless as possible. I am blessed that I have a wonderful mentor and friend to work with every day.
Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, I moved to Vail in 1989 knowing I wanted to live in the mountains. I spent my first years here in the hospitality industry, thoroughly enjoying helping people make the best of their vacations in this sacred mountain valley. I entered into the Real Estate industry as a Title Examiner and Escrow Agent for one of our local title companies. I then moved on to Property Management, assisting 16 homeowner associations with their needs, and eventually focusing on taking care of beautiful second homes located throughout the valley. At the same time I began listing and selling real estate, and eventually partnered with Carroll Tyler at Slifer Smith & Frampton.
I graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A in Communication Studies. I continue to expand my horizons with varying language, computer and business classes. And of course there is always the education we receive unknowingly from our children. Having two teenage daughters, I feel like I am always learning a lot!
I live in Eagle-Vail with my two teenage daughters Morgan and Junell. I enjoy gardening, home improvement, and running kids around along with fixing up old houses. Weekends are spent reading, skiing, or biking, but most generally, enjoying the outdoors that originally drew me to this beautiful area.
I am involved in many different community associations and programs, whether through time or financial contributions. I believe our community is based on what we put into it, so I am a strong supporter to various events and activities and of our public education system in Eagle County.
